Description

Are you a contractor working in residential renovation in BC? The HPSC Contractors Forum is an opportunity to connect with other leading professionals in HVAC, Fenestration, Insulation, Renovation and Energy Advisory Servicesas well as key government and utility representatives.

The Government of BC has committed to adopting the model National Building Code for existing buildings (2024), reducing carbon pollution by 2 million tonnes (2030) through better buildings, and converting home heating to heat pumps in 70,000 home through incentives of up to $3,000 per heat pump. The City of Vancouver has declared a climate emergency, issued a response, and set goals to get 100% of its energy from renewable sources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80% below 2007 levels by 2050. These initiatives, while well supported by the HPSC, will have a profound impact on the home performance contractor community. And, contractors are critical to the successful decarbonization of BC.
